What does the Ying and Yang Symbol Mean?
The ubiquitous yin yang symbol holds its roots in Taoism/Daoism, a Chinese religion and philosophy. While the yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, femininity, and the trough of a wave. The yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion and growth. And each side contains a ‘seed’ of the other.

Door curtains are made by hanging strands of bamboo from a top bar. Some designs are kept plain and just lacquered. Others are painted in a plain colour, or with a special design. All painting is done by hand. Once dry, the finished door curtain is folded into a box, ready to be sent out.
